Despite being a very wise king who was judging the causes of people with wisdom, Solomon was used by God to write three books of the Bible: The Book of Proverbs. Ecclesiastes and chants. He was also used to build the house of God, Solomon built a beautiful temple for God.
for many, many years, since leaving the land of Egypt, the people of Israel did not have a place to worship God and the churches we have today. They used a local shop and worship of God, called the Tabernacle. The Tabernacle was a sacred place where only priests could enter, for there was the Ark of the Covenant of God. The priests were men of God, and pastors today.
David, Solomon's father, wanted to build a temple for God, but He asked for leave that task to his son Solomon, for David had been involved in many wars, and the house of God should be built in peace.
When completed construction of the temple, Solomon commanded that the Levites and priests carry the Ark of the Covenant stop there. So they left the sanctuary, a cloud filled the house of God, Solomon sent for wood from Lebanon, large stones, gems, gold, silver and all that was best. Well, God deserves the best ... Is not that right?
And so, children, we must have respect and reverence when we are in the church as it is the House of God. We must speak loudly, drawing on the chairs littering the floor, much less play in the church, in so doing, give respect to God. Solomon was careful to do everything pretty good and right for the House of God, and we must also have love and care with everything in it, since it was built so we could meet with all who love Jesus, talk to God in prayer, praise and worship.
